Samsung hints at new products as it bets on AI to drive upgrades to its latest foldable phones

Samsung Electronics’ mobile boss discussed the company’s AI and software strategy, and hinted at future foldable products and mixed reality headsets. Samsung recently launched the Z Fold6 and Z Flip6, as well as its first smart ring, the Galaxy Ring. The company aims to push users to upgrade to its latest smartphones through its suite of AI software. Samsung is focusing on AI features to drive sales of its premium handsets. The company’s mobile business historically relied on sales of smartphones and other devices, but it is now making a bigger push into software, including an upgraded version of its AI assistant Bixby. Samsung is also considering introducing a subscription to its AI services. In regards to future products, Samsung is looking to broaden its ecosystem with new foldable form factors and a mixed reality platform.
